United Therapeutics Corp., which is building a $110 million pathogen-free facility in Stewartville, purchased 207 acres between Rochester and Stewartville in High Forest Township for $8.566 million.

Grand Forks, N.D.-based Alerus Financial Corp., which acquired Home Federal Savings Bank in October 2024, recently announced plans to closet the 62-year-old South Broadway branch in front of the Crossroads Shopping Center in January.

Heritage Pet Hospital has outgrown its 3,600-square-foot complex at 2117 U.S. Highway 52 North, so Core Real Estate Group is building a new 6,000-square-foot, tailor-made hospital at 3515 Sarah Place NW by the Kwik Trip convenience store on the corner of Superior Drive Northwest and Valleyhigh Drive Northwest.

Steve Wegman is bringing the McAlister’s Deli brand to Rochester with two locations. One will open in the Shoppes on Second center at 123 16th Ave. SW in early March. The other is slated for the under-construction West Circle Retail Plaza at 3629 Sarah Place NW with the goal of a May opening.

Rochester’s Core Real Estate Group announced this week that local banking veteran Larry McGraw has joined their team. McGraw worked at Rochester’s Home Federal Savings Bank, now Alerus Financial, for 15 years.
